Prepare for the descent into South Africa

It’s time to stow away our tray tables, fasten our seatbelts, turn off our devices, and prepare for the descent into South Africa.

We’ll have lunch in South Africa tomorrow, and the food, as usual, promises to to be amazing.

My spice cupboard has had the best workout it’s had to date. I can’t wait. There will be so much unusual sounding food – vetkoek, bredie, bobotie, potjie, boerewors, hertzoggies, milktert – and it all tastes amazing, if my tasting as I cook is any indication.
